Specific Roles

To apply for any of these please call our helpline on 01322 611 911

Branch Coordinator

The Branch Coordinator’s overall purpose is to lead and motivate a small team of hard-working volunteers
committed to putting into practice the Charity’s objectives of rehoming cats and kittens, neutering and
giving appropriate advice and information to the general public.

His or her primary responsibility is to keep the entire Branch operation running smoothly, and to act as the Branch’s official contact with the National Cat Centre.

This vital role would suit a conscientious individual with good organisational and leadership skills,
some management experience, and a few hours a week of free time that he or she is willing to put to use
in overseeing our important cat welfare work.
A detailed description can be obtained by emailing Hans, our Membership Administrator

If you are interested in supporting us in this pivotal and highly rewarding function, please contact Christine Harvey,
our Regional Development Manager, by telephone 080 800 191 919 (select option 1), by email bsu@cats.org.uk,
or by post at Branch Support Unit, National Cat Centre, Chelwood Gate, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH17 7TT.

Recruitment Officer

This important role is suited to a self-motivated volunteer with good people skills and preferably some experience
in interviewing/selecting workers within a commercial or charity environment. Our Recruitment Officer’s main objectives
are to ensure that new volunteers are recruited to the Branch depending on our needs and that existing ones are nurtured.

The role will require a time commitment of approximately 5 hours a week during the first 6 months, and somewhat less thereafter.
A detailed description can be obtained by emailing Hans, our Membership Administrator

Jumble Sale Organiser

Carol has organised our Jumble Sales for many years but she is giving up this task at the end of 2008.
If you would consider taking on the task of organising our Jumble Sales up to 6 times a year, you are welcome to
express your interest! These are wonderful social events for the volunteers, and raise money to help the cats.
Yes, it is hard work for a few hours but there is much fun and laughter as well.
